My approach to therapy is based on the belief that a meaningful and authentic connection is the foundation for growth and healing. When working with clients, I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive environment in order to balance a personalized approach with evidence-based principles. My style has been described as warm, supportive, and encouraging. You can expect me to bring a mindful curiosity to the exploration of your concerns and where you might feel stuck.

HOW TO START THERAPY WORK

I ask that you bring an open mind and desire to grow so that we can work towards health-related goals.  The benefits you obtain from our work together depending on how well you use the process and practice what you learn.  My hope is that our work together empowers you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself along with new tools so that you feel more confident in managing your health and well-being.

I use a multi-level approach, by bringing science-based therapeutic techniques along with strength-building strategies to our work. I utilize a variety of approaches that include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution-Focused techniques, Mindfulness-based interventions, Emotion Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), and EMDR for the treatment of trauma.

The term “therapy” refers to a treatment plan designed to improve mental health. In today’s society, people often turn to online therapy because they don’t want to face their problems alone. They prefer to talk to someone else instead.
